The South African Government decided at the beginning of the year 2005 to sell all the shares in Victoria & Alfred Waterfront held by Transnet. The objective is that Transnet should concentrate on its core activities. An estimation, currently confidential, has been carried out by Old Mutual Properties to serve as a basis for negociations. It bears on 77 buildings totalling a floor area of 300 000m². But it also represents a wide range of activities: offices, hotels, leisure, etc. in the heart of a development that is one of the major tourist attractions of South Africa.
Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a member of IACP.
