The NoMEPorts project (Noise Management in European Ports) was launched on the 28th November last on the initiative of the Port of Amsterdam and the EcoPorts Foundation. At term, it aims for the integration into European legislation of good practices in matters of the management of noise pollution that the partners of this project will have defined in port industrial zones. Developed within the framework of the European "Life" Programme, it brings together the ports of Amsterdam, Livorno (Leghorn), Hamburg, Copenhagen/Malmö, Civitavecchia, Valencia, Rotterdam, Bremen, Gothenburg, Tenerife, and Oslo.
