In November 2005, the City of Le Havre and the Compagnie Nationale de l'Histoire de l'immigration organised two days dedicated to the memory of migrations in port cities. From this, stemmed a work that brings together 31 portraits of personalities (artists, sportsmen, politicians…) illustrating the numerous aspects of the modern port city through its history.
