With 340,000 units expected for 2006-2007, the automobile traffic of the Port of Durban is growing rapidly. Long-term plans foresee a new terminal for Salisbury Island. But with existing facilities close to saturation point, temporary solutions must be found which combine the optimal use of space and a guarantee that traffic can be handled.
