A dynamic economic zone in South Vietnam, the Province of Bà Ria-Vung Tâu is engaging in a development plan for 2010 for its port system that notably relies on the oil sector. Certain parts of the port intra muros of Ho Chi Minh-ville should also be transferred to Thi Val-Cai. Construction of the international port of Thi Vai-Cai should start in 2006 and it should be put into service in 2008. The tourist and fishing produce sectors are also concerned.
