In December 2006, the Port of Bordeaux started the demolition of their installations on quai de la Battellerie. The 5 hectares of the site are destined to become a nature park, an operation that is the prelude to the development of the quays of the left bank of the Garonne. The management plan for this park will then be handed over to the Botanic Garden of the City of Bordeaux.
