The ports of Amsterdam (Netherlands), Civitavecchia (Italy), Copenhagen-Malmo (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany), Livorno -Leghorn (Italy) and Valencia (Spain) met in Livorno from 22nd to 24th January 2007 in the context of the European project NoMePorts (see our article) that aims at defining good practices in matters of noise pollution management in port industrial zones. On this occasion, the participants were able to experiment a new computer tool that enables an acoustic situation to be analysed from models, and forecasts to be established. The programme then studies the possible solutions and suggests the optimal way to implement them.
