The Yemeni Government has confirmed the continuation of their development programme for the port cities until 2012. The programme, for a total sum of 96 million dollars, has notably the objective of developing projects in partnership with private stakeholders, of coordinating both industrial and urban development operations, of consolidating the economic structures of the port cities to make them more attractive, or again to advantage employment and tourism.
