The Peruvian Government has ordered a survey spread over six months to be completed at end 2007. This study bears on Paita, the second port of the country which the government would like to turn into a gateway to Asia for the Brazilians. At the outcome of this procedure, a new offer should be made by the State for the concession of the port of Paita.
