The Colombian Government has decided to prolong the concession of the port to Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Buenaventura SA (SPBRUN). This decision will enable an investment of 54 million dollars to be engaged, as from March 2008, in order to modernise port installations and equipment. Prior to this, SPBRUN has undertaken to present a plan for the reorganisation of the port territory.
