The Port of La Rochelle changed status to become an autonomous port on the 1st January 2006. Their first annual Activity Report thus covers all the projects implemented as well as the orientations of the 2007-2013.State Region Contract Plan. In their declared prospects, the port intends to advantage City – Port blending by creating a "synergy between the ambitions for urban development and those for the development of the port in close liaison with the City of La Rochelle".
