The ports of New York – New Jersey and Rotterdam have signed a cooperation agreement for the fight against glasshouse gas emissions and the improvement of the quality of the air. The two port authorities are centring their partnership on exchanges of information and experiences. The Port of Rotterdam is, besides this, a founding member of Rotterdam Climate Initiative that has set the objective of reducing CO² emissions by 50% compared with the 1990 level by 2050.
