At end 2007, the Port of San Francisco should select a developer to develop the 5.5 hectares of land close to the Giants' baseball stadium. On the basis of a 75 year long-term concession, the developers will be asked to present a project combining offices, apartments, retail outlets, a hotel and a park over 186 000 m². The operation could generate 8 million dollars a year, more than double the sum that the Giants, the biggest tenant of the port, currently pay. A new example of the strategy of valorising the real estate properties of the Port of San Francisco (See our article 1208).
