Forth Ports have presented a revised project to the Municipality of Edinburg for the 144 hectares for reconversion in Leith Docks. Organised into 9 "urban villages"; this 30 year project combines housing (16 000 units are announced), public services, recreational activities, retail outlets, offices (100 000m² of new offices) and businesses. Pedestrian and cyclist movements and public transport will be advantaged. 12 000 jobs could be created.
