hackathon_actuOn 18 and 19 November 2016, a large-scale “hackathon” will be held on the theme of Smart Ports, at the campus of ENSM (the French National School for Merchant Navy Officers). The event is being organised by HAROPA, the alliance which includes the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, in conjunction with port community systems operator SOGET, ENSM and the Seine Estuary Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

A portmanteau of the words “hack” and “marathon”, a hackathon is an event where software developers and programmers come together to collaborate on research or to test a new product. For a limited time, those involved work continuously to come up with the most innovative ideas possible. Around one hundred participants are expected in Le Havre.

AIVP is proud to be a partner of this project since its inception. It will be leading a team working on the challenge “Boost services and information flows for the public”, and rewarding the team which produces the best performance.
