Monday, November 9, 2020, AiVP participated to the «African Ports Forum» which was held in Djibouti. Olivier Lemaire, general manager of AiVP, spoke at a round table on “the impact of ports on their hinterland” through videoconference. He advocated the importance of Port City cooperation, and stressed how essential it is to take into account the externalities generated by the port on the quality of life of citizens. Several members of the AiVP were present, including the ports of Lomé (Togo) and Dakar (Senegal), as well as the Office of Ports and Harbors of Gabon and the Office of Merchant Marine and Ports (OMMP) of Tunisia. In other words, the AiVP was well represented at this Forum, once again demonstrating its interest in an emerging African continent!
