GUA_hundley_tailleOKMs. Hundley will provide an economic overview of the Houston Port Region and how her organization markets and grows the economy through industry and community led task forces. These task forces are made up of volunteers from industry and the community, and focus on New Business Development, Business Growth, Public Policy, Transportation, Quality of Life, and Public Policy. The Economic Alliance also has a Mayors’ Advisory Council consisting of local mayors and government leaders. She will also be providing guidance on how to develop public/private partnerships, for the benefit of communities, with real life examples of successful projects.

As the Vice President of Public Affairs for the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, Ms. Hundley is responsible for the development and oversight of comprehensive public affairs and communications strategies that position the Alliance as a premier economic development organization and leader on significant maritime and petrochemical industry matters while raising their profile among key audiences.
Before joining the Economic Alliance, Ms. Hundley served as the Director of Community Relations for the Port of Houston Authority and Regional Manager of Government and Community Relations for Air Products, Inc. Her previous professional experiences include Government Relations Assistant Manager for the Port of Houston Authority, Legislative Aide to a TX State Representative, and practicing law as an Associate District Attorney in El Paso, TX.
A graduate of the University of Texas-El Paso, Ms. Hundley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and psychology, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s of Professional Studies in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University.
Ms. Hundley currently serves on Advisory Councils for the Galveston Bay Foundation and National Council for Corporate Responsibility, volunteers her time as small group leader for the children’s ministry at Northside Christian Church, and provides public affairs support for Henderson’s ATA Tae Kwon Do School in Atascocita, TX. She is also an alumnus of the U.S. Senate Leadership Summit for Young Professionals and the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Forum.
