Boston: the Hydroelectric Canal project is the big winner in the WAFX Prize at the World Architectural Festival

Paul Lukez Architecture’s project was a finalist in the Boston Living with Water Competition in 2015. It is a proposal for the redevelopment of a canal between the northern part of the old port and the bay, including a hydroelectric scheme using energy generated by the tides and storms. More generally, it proposes a resilient urban ecology combining restored natural habitats and urban uses on a 232-hectare site.
