Barcelona: City and Port agree to reorganise cruise activity and assess its externalities for the city

The agreement aims to promote more harmonious development for the cruise business, which is essential for both parties but no longer always welcomed by local residents. The number of terminals is set to be reduced from eight to seven, while those closest to the city will be moved. All stopovers will now be grouped together at the Adossat terminal, and a study will launched to look at the issue of ship’s at-berth emissions.
