AIVP is an official supporter of the AAPA XXIII Latin American Ports Congress
From 26 to 29 August 2014, the Argentinean ports of Bahía Blanca, Rosario, Quequén, La Plata, Buenos Aires and Puerto Madryn will host the AAPA’s (American Association of Port Authorities) annual meeting of Latin American ports in Puerto Iguazú (Argentina). The programme this year will focus on “Continental integration with Latin American ports as the key to regional development”.
We remind members that AIVP signed a memorandum of cooperation with AAPA in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2006, in a move to bring the two organisations closer together. In July 2013 the Director General, Olivier Lemaire, visited Bogota (Colombia) for the organisation’s XXII congress. Participation in these discussions forms part of the active cooperation between AIVP and the AAPA network of Latin American ports.
