The AIVP Board of Directors, which met in Paris on 19 March 2015, designated Rotterdam to host the next World Conference Cities and Ports to be held from 5 to 7 October 2016. The new dynamics and the modernity of port cities will be at the heart of these exchanges.

Two candidacy dossiers were presented to the Directors: Barcelona and Rotterdam. The Board stressed that both candidacies were excellent, showing the strong commitment of these two world-famous port cities. After presentations and debate, the Board voted to adopt the candidacy of the great Dutch port, the largest port in Europe.

The Board, chaired by Jean-Pierre Lecomte, in the presence of Treasurer Vianney de Chalus and Secretary Philippe Matthis, also voted to approve the accounts for 2014, and the action programmes and provisional budget for 2015.

The next Annual General Meeting will be held in Dublin from 28 to 30 May 2015.
