On June 8th, Caya Hein had the privilege of moderating a session at the Atlantic Arc Commission’s General Assembly focused on port-city joint governance, titled “Port City Initiatives.” The session featured David Bolduc, President of Alliance verte, who highlighted the importance of community relations. Catherine Vallières-Roland, Deputy Mayor of Ville de Québec, and Éloïse Richard-Choquette from the Port of Québec presented the Port-City Vision 2026-2035, outlining its development and key projects. EU Atlantic port representatives Ivan Jimenez Aira from BilbaoPort, Maria Cuesta Sainz from Autoridad Portuaria de Santander, and Mélanie Pressans and Pascal Duforestel from the Region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine shared best practices in waterfront development and energy transition. Olga Farman, CEO of Port of Québec, and Ander Caballero, president of the Atlantic Arc Commission, set the framework for this discussion during the opening speeches.
