On 30 and 31 October, the community of the European project SAFARI (Safe, Climate Resilient Ports) met in Livorno (Italy) at the Fortezza Vecchia for its second steering committee. The event was jointly organised by our member the Port of Livorno, one of the three pilot ports, and the University of Lille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 24 partners were welcomed by the Port Authority of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea (AdSP MTS), which provided the opportunity to discuss innovations, foster cooperation across the working groups, and share the concrete progress achieved within the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day featured presentations of the main solutions developed by the partners, including the digital simulator and connected headset from the University of Lille, the Digital Lock Twin from SENER, the NextPort digital platform, the riverbank monitoring system by Lynxdrone, and the predictive railway maintenance solutions offered by RHOE, amongst others. The afternoon focused on advancing the key exploitation results (KERs) in a workshop led by AIVP and We Right-click, which highlighted the main outcomes and potential pathways for their valorisation. The day concluded with the first General Assembly of the project, where each partner presented the progress of their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following morning began with a visit to the Port of Livorno, followed by a workshop in which AIVP participated alongside port, industrial, and academic partners. The session was dedicated to sharing insights from the pilot and replicator ports to better understand the challenges to face and the stakeholders to engage in risk situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting offered a concrete overview of the project and allowed all partners\u2019 work to be fully appreciated. It also fostered a more transversal perspective on the ongoing actions, which is essential for reinforcing coherence and the collective effectiveness of the SAFARI project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
