The sediments collected in this way are incorporated into the manufacture of \u201cCoastalock\u201d concrete blocks. These blocks promote marine biodiversity through the addition of specific additives to the concrete, optimising conditions for marine life to settle and grow. The first Coastablock units were recently installed at the Nords\u00f8ka site.
