As part of the collaboration between the Port of Valpara\u00edso (EPV) and AIVP, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Pages S\u00e1nchez, director of the Agenda 2030 AIVP area, traveled to Chile to assist in the launch of the process of creating the Port Center of Valpara\u00edso. EPV and AIVP will work together for 5 months to define the Port Center model that this port city requires, including issues such as the governance structure, the exhibition, or the business model. The first milestone of this collaboration was the event on January 11th<\/sup>, which was attended by the port authority, the municipality and 90 people from various local organizations. This event was also supported by the ports of Algeciras, Bilbao and Livorno, where Port Centers are already operating or new ones are being planned. In Valpara\u00edso, the adaptation of the building, which will be located on Muelle Prat, is scheduled to begin in 2024. This space will be used to raise awareness of port activities, educate young people and engage in dialogue with citizens – the Valparaiso Port Center will be the first of its kind in Latin America! This and other projects will be presented at the Port Center Network meeting to be held on June 22-23, 2023 in Dunkirk, France.<\/p>\n\n\n
