Our own Th\u00e9o Fortin, a member of AIVP\u2019s permanent team, attended an online conference organised by the institute Idealco at the initiative of the Surfrider foundation, where he presented a number of case studies carried out in the AIVP network, including in Antwerp (Belgium), Koper (Slovenia), and Amsterdam (Netherlands). The webinar took place on 9 March 2023, and several AIVP members were among the audience. The high-quality discussion examined the issue of the circular economy in port cities, which are well placed to become industrial and logistics hubs for waste collection and recycling. The AIVP 2030 Agenda sets out a variety of recommendations in this area, as does the Green Marine Europe scheme developed by the Surfrider foundation. The webinar was an opportunity for our two organisations to highlight their synergies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
