:With a traffic of 8 million tonnes, Ports de Lille is one of the biggest waterway ports of France. A concession of the CCI Greater Lille, it is comprised of a collection of 12 sites spread over the Lille Metropolis and the Nord-Pas de Calais Region. It provides offices, warehouses, and workshops for rent on the strategic and multimodal sites of the port areas. It assures the management of specialised terminals where it handles containers, swap bodies and heavy items. It is connected to the big seaports of the North Sea by regular waterway services and also Bordeaux, Mouguerre, Toulouse, Avignon and Marseille via a daily rail link. It houses on its sites several tens of specialised logistics and transport enterprises as well as the big names of industry (agro-foodstuffs, chain-store distribution, waste enhancement sector...). Finally, it is implicated in the big contemporary societal issues: urban distribution, waste logistics, intermodal transfers…
