{"id":2174,"date":"2019-06-15T15:09:42","date_gmt":"2019-06-15T13:09:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/?post_type=cas-etude&#038;p=2174"},"modified":"2020-12-15T15:17:32","modified_gmt":"2020-12-15T14:17:32","slug":"nueva-york-eeuu","status":"publish","type":"cas-etude","link":"https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/es\/estudios-de-casos\/nueva-york-eeuu\/","title":{"rendered":"Nueva York (EEUU)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tras sufrir los devastadores efectos del hurac\u00e1n Sandy en 2012, el gobierno de Nueva York admiti\u00f3 que el cambio clim\u00e1tico es la mayor de las amenazas que enfrenta hoy la ciudad. La Oficina de resiliencia de la alcald\u00eda se cre\u00f3 con el fin de preparar a la ciudad para este desaf\u00edo. Existen pruebas cient\u00edficas que dejan en claro que algunos sectores de Bajo Manhattan se inundar\u00e1n peri\u00f3dicamente con el aumento del nivel del mar. En respuesta a este nuevo escenario, y con la cooperaci\u00f3n del estado, la ciudad ha trabajado en la evaluaci\u00f3n y planificaci\u00f3n para la adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico de los sectores m\u00e1s vulnerables de la costanera. Los dos resultados m\u00e1s tangibles son el <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/edc.nyc\/project\/lower-manhattan-coastal-resiliency\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/edc.nyc\/project\/lower-manhattan-coastal-resiliency\" target=\"_blank\">estudio Lower Manhattan Climate Resilience<\/a>, sobre resiliencia ante el clima del Bajo Manhattan, y el <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/escr\/index.page\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/escr\/index.page\" target=\"_blank\">proyecto East Side Coastal Resiliency<\/a>, de resiliencia del sector costero oriental. Ambos planes corresponden a la estrategia que se indica en <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/onenyc.cityofnewyork.us\/about\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/onenyc.cityofnewyork.us\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">OneNYC<\/a> vision for 2050. En t\u00e9rminos m\u00e1s concretos, la ciudad invertir\u00e1 500 millones de d\u00f3lares en proyectos de adaptaci\u00f3n que se llevar\u00e1n a cabo solo en la zona del Bajo Manhattan, incluido Battery Park. En el estudio realizado en marzo de 2019, la ciudad tom\u00f3 en cuenta algunas condiciones cr\u00f3nicas tales como el aumento en el nivel del mar y fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos tales como las tormentas y las lluvias y olas de calor extremos. La ciudad present\u00f3 adem\u00e1s un conjunto de herramientas para la adaptaci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica organizado en cuatro categor\u00edas conforme a edificaciones, servicios p\u00fablicos, calles y bordes costeros. Entre las medidas recomendadas se cuentan la elevaci\u00f3n del borde costero, la implementaci\u00f3n de barreras protectoras que puedan desplegarse o la creaci\u00f3n de espacios p\u00fablicos elevados.
