El objetivo era optimizar el servicio de las terminales de contenedores de Maasvlakte, servicio que hasta entonces era realizado por cami\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de la autopista A15, que ya estaba bastante congestionada. El objetivo final era retirar 180.000 camiones al a\u00f1o de la autopista A15. El traspaso a la v\u00eda fluvial se hace de forma cotidiana. En 2017 se procesaban semanalmente m\u00e1s de 750 contenedores en la terminal inferior de Alblasserdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Permite un transporte m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y m\u00e1s limpio, no s\u00f3lo por el uso del modo fluvial, sino tambi\u00e9n porque el equipo en s\u00ed recurre a tecnolog\u00edas verdes (gr\u00faas el\u00e9ctricas, alimentaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica desde tierra, iluminaci\u00f3n sostenible, medidas de protecci\u00f3n contra el ruido\u2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1067\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3.jpg\" alt=\"Port of Rotterdam - Sustainable mobility -Transferium\" class=\"wp-image-34999\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3.jpg 1067w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-690x372.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-768x415.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-255x138.jpg 255w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-360x194.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-171x92.jpg 171w, https:\/\/www.aivp.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rotterdam-transferium3-548x296.jpg 548w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1067px) 100vw, 1067px\" \/><figcaption><em>\u00a9 Port of Rotterdam<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto fue en parte financiado por el Ministerio de las Infraestructuras y del Medioambiente, y por la Provincia de Holanda Sur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2017, el Puerto de R\u00f3terdam evalu\u00f3 los ahorros asociados al uso del Transferium para uno de sus usuarios, la f\u00e1brica de transformaci\u00f3n de arroz de Van Sillevoldt Rijst: se calcula que el uso del modo fluvial por medio del Transferium permiti\u00f3 reducir las emisiones de CO2 de 411 000kg para los 5 100 contenedores que si no hubiesen circulado por la autopista A15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abierto en abril de 2018, el Transferium Maasvlakte fue dise\u00f1ado con ese mismo esp\u00edritu, pero esta vez para el transporte p\u00fablico, especialmente para las 7.000 personas que trabajan en las cerca de 50 empresas de la zona Oeste del puerto. Este \u00faltimo funciona actualmente en funci\u00f3n de los horarios de la empresa Europe Conteneur Terminal-ECT (7 h. y 14 h.).
