Guangzhou (China): a warehouse district becomes a Creative Zone

The architects at Atelier cn°S focused first on redeveloping the public spaces between these industrial buildings and on the riverside. Some of the buildings were allocated for commercial use, but the identity of two of them, with their red-brick frontages, was largely preserved. A “Cultural creativity” office was set up, while street art and the creation of recreational spaces have also helped to give the district a very new feel.
