The new Santa Apolonia cruise terminal: a new public space for the City and its citizens

  • Reception by Jose Sanchez, scientific coordinator of the Study Trip
  • Presentation of the building with its architect Joao Luís Carrilho da Graça
  • Presentation of cruise functions with Ricardo Ferreira, General Manager at Lisbon Cruise Terminals
  • Tour of the interior: building’s functions
  • Tour of the exterior: the building and its public spaces

Transfer by to Arsenal and the European Maritime Security Agency
  • Walking Tour of the site with Jose Sanchezscientific coordinator of the Study Trip.
  • Waterfront public space visit: Ribeira das Naus, with the architect João Nunes, from PROAP landscape architecture.

12:15 – Crossing of Tage by boat to Cacilhas on the South bank

14:15 – Departure to Belem

  • Ms. Paula Cristina Sengo, Environmental Technical Advisor, Port of Lisbon, Responsible for the Environmental Impact Study of the Barreiro Terminal Project
