:The port of Ceuta is one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean; it is a leading port for cargo movement, bunkering, bulk liquids, passengers and vehicles from Spain. Ceuta enjoys a privileged location on the Straits of Gibraltar. It offers tax benefits, and the port has well consolidated experience in passenger and cargo traffic, as well as bunkering. The port makes a significant contribution to the local economy; it is also a good complement to the tourist industry as it is completely integrated with the city. The 2020 Business Plan, approved by the State Ports Board, includes a line of action entitled: “Port-City interactions” for the period 2020 to 2023. PORT-CITY INTERACTIONS In recent years, the Port of Ceuta has carried out various Port-City interactions. The most recent and noteworthy, dating to this year (2020), is the Protocol for collaboration between the Tourism Services of the Autonomous City of Ceuta and the Port Authority of Ceuta for the reception of tourist cruise ships. The main object of this cooperation agreement is to provide the best possible service and information to tourist cruise ships in the port itself, setting up a welcome point on the quayside with everything necessary to facilitate the tourist's arrival, as well as his stay in the city. This will have a positive influence on the image of the tourist destination. The two entities involved undertake, through the signature of this protocol, to carry out jointly all the actions that they deem appropriate to establish the reception of cruise ships as described above.
