New publication, Flash Indian Ocean N°2: Environmental practices
The territories of Indian Ocean cities and ports are exposed to different forms of risks and pressures which are leading them to adopt and implement environmental practices. These can be better understood if they are analysed, and the 2nd number of Flash Indian Ocean is devoted to this topic.
This special report presents key figures, and elements of global vision and analysis, referring to environmental issues, risks and legislation. Further information on these subjects can be obtained from the Observatory, which has more detailed data available in its study documents.
This 2nd edition also presents the views of network members, through the interview with Christian Eddy Avelin (port of Toamasina) and the expertise of Andrew Mather (city of Durban), who talk about various experiences in the Indian Ocean region.
