HAROPA- Ports de Paris works to develop river traffic through the creation and operation of ports in the Ile-de-France region. Every year, more than 20 million tonnes of goods pass through the river ports, equivalent to a million fewer trucks on the roads. As a member of HAROPA alongside the seaports of Rouen and Le Havre, it acts as a link providing maritime access to the greater Paris region. HAROPA is among the largest port complexes in Europe, enjoying connections to every continent, and with several thousand hectares of real estate and land reserves along the Seine valley. HAROPA assists its customers with implementing and managing competitive, sustainable logistics systems designed to service European’s foremost consumer area, with a population of 25 million people. HAROPA, the fifth largest port complex in northern Europe, includes the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris. It enjoys truly global connections thanks to its leading international shipping services (links with 600 ports), and serves a vast hinterland based around the Seine Valley and Paris region, home to France's biggest consumer market. The hub has partnerships with nearly ten ports in Normandy and Ile de France, making it France's one-stop-shop, a tailored transport and logistics system capable of providing a complete and global service. HAROPA handles maritime and river-based traffic in excess of 90 million tonnes, and generates around 160,000 jobs.
