Activities
A leading deep-water port in Central Africa, the Autonomous Port of Pointe-Noire (PAPN) is a strategic logistics platform with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean and is served by major international shipping lines. It features an access channel of approximately –16 meters and quays with depths of up to –15 meters, offering a total quay length of more than 2,000 meters, suitable for next-generation vessels.
As a key interface in the city–port relationship, the PAPN actively contributes to the economic, urban, and social development of the city of Pointe-Noire. Equipped with modern infrastructure, it supports containerized, conventional, and transshipment traffic.
The PAPN also plays a critical role as a transit port for the Central African hinterland, notably serving the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, and Chad, while pursuing major projects in modernization, digitalization, and environmental transition.
