The Port of Dublin (Ireland) has launched its 2026 Cultural Events Programme, featuring more than 100 events between April and October aimed at opening the port to citizens. The initiative includes guided bus tours, new boat visits, exhibitions, lectures and performances across port sites. New features such as a self-guided trail along the Great South Wall and public art installations at Poolbeg Lighthouse expand access to waterfront spaces. Events take place in areas like the Substation and the Greenway, reinforcing the port’s role as a cultural and urban asset. The program illustrates how working ports can enhance transparency, public access and shared identity by integrating heritage, culture and mobility into port–city strategies.
