The online platform dedicated to our guide of good practices, “Plan the City with the Port”, now includes some brand new examples, largely inspired by our daily monitoring of the latest international developments in the world of port cities.

Altogether, the guide now includes 129 examples of good practices!

The guide aims to provide decision-makers and stakeholders with a valuable tool to help them make the right choices. The examples selected illustrate AIVP’s key recommendations and suggest solutions to the issues we all face when considering how best to Plan the City with the Port.

The five latest examples can be accessed from the guide of good practices homepage, and include:

  • solutions for mitigating negative industrial port impacts, implemented by the Port Authority of the Balearics (Spain) and the Port of Riga (Latvia);
  • measures to vitalise its waterfront adopted by the Port of Yokohama (Japan);
  • successful methods of tackling congestion and accessibility used in Saint-Nazaire (France) and Helsinki (Finland).
