AIVP North America

The North American representation of AIVP is tasked with deploying the organisation’s activities across the continent in order to strengthen ties between cities, ports, and their institutional and economic partners. It aims to promote the sustainable development of port cities by encouraging the exchange of knowledge, international cooperation, and the sharing of best practices.

Based in the Québec City region, this initiative also helps position Québec’s maritime ecosystem on the international stage by supporting economic opportunities, the energy transition, and the social acceptance of port territories. By bringing port authorities, municipalities, and companies closer together, the representation acts as a catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and research in support of the dynamism of maritime and river port cities, in line with AIVP’s 2030 Agenda for sustainable port cities that are open to their citizens.
