Activities
With over 1,500 kilometres of coastline, Haiti holds considerable port potential. The National Port Authority (APN), an autonomous state body, is responsible for regulating the sector and operating public port facilities. It manages a network of 3 international ports and 14 cabotage units spread across the country.
Fully committed to the city-port dynamic, the APN is driving several major projects: the rehabilitation of the port of Cap-Haïtien, the creation of the Grand Nord and Grand Sud port platforms, and the modernisation of the port of Port-au-Prince. It also aims to strengthen public-private partnerships, develop training in maritime and port professions, and promote modern, sustainable and inclusive port governance.
