About the expert
Carlos Mondaca Matzner is a journalist with a degree in history from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. He has extensive experience in designing and managing communication strategies. He taught for 5 years at the Naval War College in Chile and then spent 13 years managing the public affairs department at the Port of San Antonio. In this capacity, he led multidisciplinary work teams, developed community awareness strategies, handled crisis communication, and conducted various social negotiations. During his career at the Port of San Antonio, he was the port's representative on the governance of the IACP, serving as the association's Vice-President for South America from 2019 to 2022.
Carlos Mondaca has been a freelance communications professional since October 2013. He is a member of the AIVP network of experts on these issues.
