About the expert
Sabah Zrari holds a PhD in Political Science from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and a Master's degree in Urban Planning, Local Development and Regional Planning from the same institution. A French national, she has been living in Chile since 1996.
She heads the International Institute for Cities and Ports (IIPC), a training organisation that brings together professionals from ports, territories and civil society to address city-port issues. She is also the academic director of the online programme on the sustainability of port cities, offered since 2022 jointly by the International Association of Cities and Ports (AIVP) and the IIPC, in three languages – Spanish, French and English – (link to the programme).
Her research focuses mainly on the governance of port territories and the quality of urban life in port cities, in relation to issues of sustainability, competitiveness and territorial cohesion.
