The thirteen partners of the AIVP’s new project, ‘Connected River’, came together to begin work in the Hanseatic city on the edge of the Elbe river. The AIVP is supporting a range of pilot projects through this initiative, including the renovation of the city-port interface zone in Vordinborg (Denmark), efforts to reconcile the different uses of the river in Lille (France), a mobile app for the canals in Amsterdam (Netherlands), and early warning systems for marine submersion in Hamburg (Germany). Our association is responsible for coordinating the “Learning and Connecting” group, which as the name suggests was created as forum for sharing practical experiences. To find out more or to join the group, contact the permanent team at the AIVP.
