On March 10, 2026, the exhibition “Green Ports: Low-Carbon Mission” was officially inaugurated at the Le Havre Port Center, attended by:
- Jean-Baptiste Gastinne (President of Le Havre Port Center),
- Cédric Virciglio (Director of Strategic Planning and Forecasting at HAROPA PORT),
- Oscar van Veen (Director of Innovation at the Port of Rotterdam),
- Bruno Delsalle (Director General of AIVP).
Developed under the MAGPIE project and with AIVP participation, the exhibition showcases five years of research through panels, games, and interactive simulations to make port energy transition challenges accessible to the public. There, visitors can discover the ships, trucks, and energy carriers of the future. Born of the European Green Deal, MAGPIE namely develops solutions to cut port-related emissions. The exhibitions include four technical demonstrators from the project: ammonia bunkering, green connected trucking, a hybrid shunting locomotive, and shore power peak shaving. A second exhibition will open on April 13, 2026, in Rotterdam.
The inauguration brought together representatives from HAROPA PORT, one of the pilot ports of the MAGPIE project, and the city of Le Havre, as well as participants attending the Port Center Meeting organized by AIVP that week, providing an opportunity for networking and strengthening ties between the city and the port.
