Wabtec – Participant in the AIVP Solutions Hub

The Solutions Hub is a part of the AIVP Venice Conference that highlights solutions created by our members that can address the challenges mentioned by speakers about the sustainable cruise sector. Wabtec Corporation is a solution provider for the transportation sector. It provides equipment, systems, digital solutions to the marine and rail industries. To create a more efficient, reliable, and sustainable maritime ecosystem, Wabtec provides solutions for Onshore Power Supply (OPS), mainly known in Italy as Cold Ironing. During the AIVP Venice Conference in November 2023, Wabtec will present its solutions regarding sustainable cruises during the Solutions Hub on the 17th of November. 9th Meeting of the AIVP – MedCruise Working Group on Cruises and Port Cities

The 9th meeting of the AIVP - MedCruise Joint Working Group on Cruise and Port Cities took place last week, on the 18th of October. The meeting was moderated by Mr. José Sánchez, representing AIVP, while also counting with the inputs from Mr. Nicky Guerrero, secretary General of MedCruise, on the recent General Assembly of his organization. Following the usual structure of the working group gatherings, there was one presentation from an external guest, Prof. Thanos Pallis, and one focusing on one member, this time the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority (PNA), more concretely on the ports of Piombino and Portoferraio.
