An AIVP delegation visits Indian Ocean port cities

Their mission aims to deepen the territorial diagnosis they realized remotely at the end of 2021, for the benefit of the Port Association of Indian Ocean Islands (PAIOI) and with the support of the French Development Agency (FDA). They will visit four major ports of the sub-region : port of Moroni (Comoroes), Port Réunion (La Réunion, France), Port Louis (Mauritius) and Port of Victoria (Seychelles). Local authorities will also be solicited, in line with the "city-port" approach defended by AIVP: the Municipality of Moroni, the Reunion Region, the Territoire de la Côte Ouest agglomeration community, the City of Le Port, the Municipality of Port-Louis or the Municipality of Victoria are included in the program of this delegation. Finally, this mission will allow the group to identify proposals for actions that will be included in a roadmap for the greening of Indian Ocean ports.

Paul, Urban Affairs Officer joins the AIVP team

Paul Chambriard, a second year master student at Paris School of Urban Planning has just joined AIVP for a 6-month internship until the end of September 2022. Before joining the team, he had several long experiences abroad (United States, Netherlands), obtained a degree in Geography and Spatial Planning at Sorbonne University and followed a specialization in environment as part of his training as an urban planner.
