Paul, Urban Affairs Officer joins the AIVP team

Paul Chambriard, a second year master student at Paris School of Urban Planning has just joined AIVP for a 6-month internship until the end of September 2022. Before joining the team, he had several long experiences abroad (United States, Netherlands), obtained a degree in Geography and Spatial Planning at Sorbonne University and followed a specialization in environment as part of his training as an urban planner.

The theme of the 17th World Conference : Inspiring Blue Futures

With the concept of “Inspiring Blue Futures”, AIVP wants to highlight the importance of port cities in this mission and several subjects for the future of our societies, our economy and our environment. In our conference we will see how these Blue Futures will be characterized by innovative solutions for decarbonized logistic chains and port cities, building on alternative fuels and electrification of infrastructure, marine renewable energies, digitalization, or even carbon capture based on aquatic nature (the best carbon sinks are wetlands and the seabed).

3rd Meeting of the AIVP – MedCruise Working Group on Cruises and Port Cities.

On Thursday, 31 March 2022 AIVP and MedCruise held the third meeting of the joint Working Group on Cruises and Port Cities that, thanks to its 25 members covering 10 countries around the world, represents a unique cooperation practice in the field of port-city relations. As for the previous meeting, Silvia Coppolino Director of the MedCruise BoD, and José Sanchez Director of Agenda AIVP 2030, co-hosted the online rendez-vous. The meeting also counted with the moderation of Aimilia Papachristou, general secretary of MedCruise.
