Talcahuano (Chile): how City Port cooperation also served for reconstruction

In this interview we will focus on the subject of governance, particularly in the Chilean context, and on the legislation that created the “Port-City Councils”. There have been many innovations in Talcahuano, and other Chilean port cities, that could be of interest to our members, including the functioning of the Talcahuano Logistics Community (Comlog). Updated Articles of Association and international events for AIVP’s latest AGM

AIVP held an online Annual General Meeting on 10 June 2021. Almost a hundred delegates from 25 countries attended. In addition to approving substantial amendments to the Articles of Association, the AGM also gave its verdict on the initial results of the new strategy adopted two years ago, and forward-looking prospects, particularly in terms of physical and online events.

Port of Leixões (Portugal) : zero emissions by 2035

The APDL - Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo, SA - is also responsible for the Port of Leixões, Portugal's second largest port by cargo throughput, for the port of Viana do Castelo and the waterways of the Douro River. The port of Leixões is a key economic and logistical engine for the country's northern industrial region. The port territory is in both cases inserted in urban contexts, especially in municipality of Matosinhos and the metropolitan area of Porto.
