AIVP & MedCruise – Cruises and Port Cities Working Group : Call for applications

The AIVP and MedCruise launched in November 2021 a joint Working Group on Sustainable Port-City Relations and Cruises. This group, bringing together 25 members from both organisations, focused on exchanging good practices and discussing new policies and solutions relevant to the cruise sector aimed at reducing its impact in port cities and finding a balanced relationship. In 2023, the group's mission is to create a charter to structure the Port - City - Cruise relationship. Would you like to join this Working Group? Send your application before 15 April 2023.

Port cities and sustainable development : Distance-learning Programme in Spanish

AIVP leads blue economy session during the World Ocean Summit

The World Ocean Summit gathered more than 1500 delegates in Lisbon, Portugal, between 27th and of February and 1st of March to discuss issues such as: ocean climate solutions, ocean science and data, blue food, finance, shipping, plastics and more. AIVP has been a media partner of the event, providing a port-city perspective on these topics and involving our network in the program of the conference.

AIVP President Edouard Philippe addresses the European cruise industry summit

The European branch of CLIA, the organisation that represents professionals in the cruise sector, met in Paris (France) from 8 to 10 March for its annual summit. Over 250 industry professionals discussed the revival of the cruise sector and its transformation into a low-carbon, locally-integrated tourism industry.
