The port authority and Fundación Valenciaport officially launched the “Aportem – Puerto Solidario Valencia” project in July 2013. It brings together various partners from Valencia’s port and logistics community around a shared goal: promoting corporate social responsibility.
Aportem aims to provide a forum for sharing experience and cooperating on the implementation of corporate social responsibility. The initiative is targeted primarily at the most vulnerable people in districts neighbouring the port. The field of action is wide, encompassing education and culture, health, sport, diet, solidarity, and port tours for the families of Aportem members.
Recent actions include providing school equipment and sports clothing to over 800 children in time for the start of the 2019 school year, organising the “No Plastic” initiative to cut the use of plastics by port companies, collecting over 1,100 books for a school library, along with musical instruments, in June 2019, and an eye testing campaign for children in May 2019.
