Investing in human capital and developing port cities in a way that provides residents, young talents, professionals and entrepreneurs with the jobs needed for their own personal development and for the competitiveness of the port community :
- Mobilising public and private stakeholders in port sectors to promote life-long professional training and personal development opportunities for citizens.
- Enlarging the mix of profiles and promoting skills transfers, to allow for flexi‑bility and to move beyond the sector-based approach without discrimination.
- Providing training in preparation for the deployment of smart and green technologies in cities and ports.
- Promoting interactions and projects between the City and Port and schools, training institutes and the professional world.
- Creating collaborative spaces for experimentation, e.g. technology halls, coworking spaces, Learning Centers, Port Centers, etc. to encourage interaction and stimulate new projects
